Late at night around 11PM I wanted to go up Mt. Lemmon for a night hike. It’s this crazy thing my friends and I do when ever we want to get away from the city, to talk about life, our dreams, and of course enjoy some adventure. A friend of mine took a break from campaigning, I took a break from school and we both decided to go hang out and do a time lapse of Tucson from Mt. Lemmon. During this time we found a cool cliff area that provided the best view of the city on the mountain.
What I had realized was that I just found a place that was really special. I could feel the percolation of love for Tucson, even though it’s not my favorite city, I had found a place where I was free to relax and enjoy life from afar. To create the best engagement pictures, you have to choose a location that makes you feel special and alive. After a month of planning with Alicia and Marcel for couples pictures, I had just found a place that truly represented what I loved about this place and thank you so much to the vendors who helped make this stylized engagement shoot come to life…

Here is a list of everything I used to make this shoot possible:
Florals: Green leaves, green shrubbery, an example would be aster solidago. white/tan flowers (tulips, roses, ect.) succulents, and ferns.
Fabric: 4-10 yards of white mesh fabric, giant gold/rustic bow, white and cream blankets.
Furniture: old fashion oil lantern, fake antique books, big and little white candles, wooden plate, gold plate, designer pillows, wood chest, coin box, jewelry box, leather back pack, two wine bottles, and two wine glasses.
Extras: A bundle of firewood, and pine cones, 3 wood branches/wood spears 4-5 feet to create the tent, mason jars, metal wire spool, pins, two Large picnic style baskets, clear fishing wire, and two amazing individuals to model 🙂

I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect evening. Creating this photo shoot, was like creating a story and going through these pictures is like watching a love story unfold for the very first time.
